I will introduce

some percussion

instruments to students

and share my book, Play the Bongo Congo. Students will love the fun tone of the book, but will also absorb the themes of friendship and universal acceptance.  I’ve been managing elementary classrooms since 2019.

 Kerwyn is an incredibly dynamic and engaging presenter and substitute teacher. From the moment I began teaching at my school, if students knew in advance that I was going to be out, they would always ask if the "Bongo Congo Guy" would be their substitute. I had no clue who that was at first, but after meeting Kerwyn, I see why the students love him! He has a clear passion for music and knack for teaching children. When Kerwyn came to share his book with students, he not only just read the book, but turned it into a whole lesson with instruments and dancing, which the students loved every minute of!
