      Kidd Kerwyn, a lifelong Milwaukee resident, has been charming children with his catchy tunes and rhythmic beats for decades. From penning his first song, "Bongo Congo," in 4th grade, Kidd discovered his passion for creating fun, engaging music. A UW-Milwaukee graduate, he taught English for 27 years in Milwaukee Public Schools, often incorporating his love for music into lessons. Now, Kidd delights students as a substitute teacher, bringing his conga drum to sing and play his silly songs, with "Bongo Congo" being a fan-favorite. When he's not teaching, Kidd enjoys drumming in local classic rock bands, a hobby he started in 8th grade (please see Guitronga! Under the “live performances” tab).
